Love, Love, Love

It has been a beautiful week with sunny days and cool nights. I asked the kids what they wanted to do for dinner and Peter came up with a picnic at Farmer's Park. That's exactly what we did.

Farmers Park Morning

We did not spend as many days at Farmer's Park this year as I would have liked, but most of the days that we DID spend there were really good. We spent time splashing, catching sculpins, bugs and frogs in the creek, walking on the rocks and through the water, and climbing everything. That applied to Peter, Emelia and Elena. All of them have turned into climbers- Emi being a little more hesitant than the others. Pete has gotten into the show Ninja Warrior and watches the competitors for ideas on how to get himself around and has gotten pretty good at monkey bars, sliding long distances etc..

Splash at Farmer's Park

We went to Farmer's Park on the first half-way warm day of the spring. We wore our mud boots and winter coats which was a good thing since there were huge puddles all over. This wasn't helpful though when Peter went to cross the creek and splashed right in face first!!

 He cried for maybe 3 seconds but then told me he wasn't wet at all and that they should keep playing! I had dry pants for Emelia in the car so I grabbed those and Grandpa Dan shared his dry socks with Pete.

Summer= Farmer's Park

 Summertime doesn't officially start until Grandpa Dad and Grandma Vivi have made a trip up to Winona to go to Farmer's park with us for the day. We brought nets to see what we could catch, played in the water,  on the swings and ran and ran!

 Peter loves to cross the stream on all of the rock bridges there!

 I have been sewing a lot for Emelia lately. This was one of the more successful dresses that I attempted- She has another that is gray with posies on it too- everything that I sewed was made double- I figured that one would turn out great and one might have a few mistakes...

Day at Farmer's Park

 

 Peter and I took Scout to the vet today and then of course since Scout was such a good dog we went to Farmer's Park to run in the grass that has grown back and to play in the creek. This is such a beautiful park, I have a feeling that we will be coming here a lot this summer.
